Homes in Bastrop Texas

Bastrop is one of Texas’s oldest cities. Why it was even around during the Civil War! So near the core of downtown there is a large number of historic homes many designated as such by the Texas Historical Commission. Some tiny and quaint, many large and lovely. Some are fully renovated and some still in need of loving care.

Mixed in with these homes are a number of more modern homes built in the 40s/50s/60s on up to a few brand spanking new homes waiting on their first family to buy them.

There are many neighborhoods with new or nearly new homes as well.

There’s plenty to tell so follow the links:

  • Old Bastrop – The Colorado River runs thru the center of town with a couple of lovely parks bordering it. There is a riverwalk too. And many restaurants and shops right next to the river and along historic Main Street.
  • Riverside Grove – This is a small neighborhood of homes built after 2000 across the bridge from Historic Bastrop. At the back of the neighborhood is a large park that backs up to the Colorado River.
  • Tahitian Village – Tahitian, as it’s locally known, was originally developed in the 70’s and has a good mix of older and new homes. It has it’s own golf course which runs along the Colorado River at the back of the subdivision. Parts of Tahitian were lost during the forest fire, but they are coming back stronger than ever with beautiful new homes many with spectacular views.
  • Pine Forest – This neighborhood is located on both the east and the west sides of Tahitian Village. Boasting larger lots and some fantastic views.
  • Hunter’s Crossing – A smaller neighborhood of new and newish homes on the western-most side of Bastrop. Some building still going on here, for just a little bit longer! They are almost out of space.
  • Circle D – Hit hard by the 2011 fires the area is making a comeback with homes popping up throughout along with all the young loblolly pine. Many lots have scenic views.
  • The Colony – A luxury gated community close to Lost Pines Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa. Lovely homes on large lots. Custom building with occasional spec homes available.
  • Lake Bastrop Acres & Camp Swift – Here you’ll find a mix of homes … older, recently built, brand new homes going up, mobile homes, on a mix of lots sizes. Lots of trees and very close to Lake Bastrop and fishing! Wake up early and hit the lake 🙂 .
  • Colovista – Beautiful custom homes near the Colorado River and on a beautifully manicured golf course.
  • Pine View Estates – Heavily wooded neighborhood with many custom homes close to Lake Bastrop.
  • Lake Bastrop Pines – Close to Lake Bastrop, heavily wooded and great for fishermen.
  • Jacob’s Landing – Nextdoor Neighborhood
  • Slightly Rural areas close to town
